I caught up with the IDW comics after a while (I'm a slowpoke, I know), and as always found it a mixed bag. When it's bad, it's pretty bad. But when it's good, I'd say it's definitely better than the show. I mean, they took an underdeveloped villain like King Sombra, and actually gave him two pretty satisfying arcs - a sappy one with AU in issues 17 - 20, and a villain showcase with monsters straight out of a nightmare in issues 34 - 37.
Anyway, I thought (more than) one of the panels was pretty bad ass looking, and wanted to do some experiments with visual effects. So there. I'm not saying this stuff would make a great finale or a two-parter, but it totally would. Or you know - a full fan-made animation episode. I'd make it myself, but I don't think I could justify working on it for months. Shame.

I love King Sombra I wish he returned in the TV show than in the comics but I don't ship him with Radiant Hope.

That would be cool, but it'd either be the Siege story, a continuation of it, a parallel story, or just disregard the comic. The first one would be spoiled for some viewers (despite the fact I want to see that stuff animated), the second would be confusing to many more viewers ("why is King Sombra a good guy now?"), the third, well, we already have two parallel Sombras in comic and an AU version where he's Hitler, and the fourth one would be sad, because as far as I know, the comic is "canon unless the show states otherwise", and the story at least gives Sombra actual personality and motivation.
Anyway, Hope is a bit of a plot device character, definitely. Celestia ship is the one true ship.

For some reason, that teeth kinda reminds me of "Courage the Cowardly Dog". (You know : when a character get f**ked, their stupid laugh afterward...)

I really enjoyed the story. I think Sombra, in the comics at least, serves as a great Byronic hero, and even if those stories are a bit cliche, they're enjoyable in the right doses. Plus now he gets to travel the world and glue a princess together!

I really hope we get to see more of him and Hope. Although... things may conflict with the show... BUT HEY-- it would still be fantabulous! (Maybe we'll see more of Price's work.)
