Hey ya'll. I decided to take a break from my heavily photo-referenced style and break out the improvisation. Of course, i USED phot-refs for this, but they were to make sure i accurately captured the visual essence of this version of the character while giving it my own visual flair.

I originally planned on this being a little 'cartoonier" but it just got out of hand. I wanted to really focus on what seperated this joker from the standard sort of "brian-bolland-ish" joker. The first was that his hair is DYED and that his skin isn't white. It's MAKEUP. This joker doesn't have a goofy, menacing grin. he SNARLS.
He's dirty and dramatically theatrical.

not sure why i cut of his arms and the rest of his torso though when i could have easily put them in. may add them back in and re-submit this.

done in about 50 minutes.
