Description This is Morrigan’s bow, named in honor of the Irish goddess of battle and strife. It has been hand carved from a single piece of hard maple and strengthened with a silk backing. It draws at 38lbs at 27” and stands 60” tall unstrung.
The silk backing has been painted with a dark bronze metal paint which gives it a slight warm glow in comparison to the belly and grip of the bow, which have been darkly stained and then aged, the wood was then waxed for a beautiful sleek finish.
I made this bow with an ergonomically ambidextrous grip and no shelf so it can be shot from either hand, the bow string is custom made from B-50 and has been served. I build all my bows as sculptural objects first but I make sure they shoot straight and true.
