I'm still wondering why for the love of the bristling beard of Unicron,
have none of those 3rd party manufacturers made a "not-Leige Maximo" toy yet.

Cool!  Its great how you've managed to incorporate the Fallen's head in there.  Looking at some of the design elements such as the tank tracks and cannons, it looks like you've got an alt mode in mind for him.

Cheers HB. I didn't have a specific alt mode in mind other than some sort of mobile battle platform. What I always want is to make Transformers look like they can actually transform! Without kibble they just look like Mechas to me, much less than meets the eye! As a kid the possibility that everyday vehicles could actually be robots in disguise really fired my imagination, it's the whole point. It's what worried me about the movie design direction, I like the complicated realism but give us a few tyres, doors, window panes etc to make the transformation seem real, too many look like shell formers with the shell removed. Prime went from transformer to ninja mecha with some smokestacks on his back in the last film. Even in the comics I think background generics should be designed with an alt-mode in mind, we didn't always get that, even in G1. Ah well, maybe I'm just old and stuck in my ways

Haha, in that case, I must be old school just like you, as I always have to thrown on wings, doors, cockpits, tyres, etc, even on background characters/generics.

As for the movie designs, I actually find them, to put things simply, horrifying.
