The only person I can see to succeed Christopher Lee as King Haggard in a live action version of the film (which is going to happen, according to Peter S. Beagle himself) is Ian McKellen.Ā There are a number of reasons why, and if you think about it, I'm sure you'll figure out why on your own.Ā
