If you're anything like me, you love nature and all it's colours. But summer is so short, at least where I live! The leaves start to fall, they start to turn colour, and all of a sudden, it's over and the trees are bare! With this pendant, you can take a reminder of summer with you wherever you go. Let it remind you of the beautiful shades of green after all the leaves are gone.

One of my most popular styles of pendants, my Tree of Life pendants are hand-formed with love. They are reversible as well, having backsides just as lovely as the front! You can often see more of the trunk on the reverse side. These are by far my favourite pieces to create, and are can be commissioned in almost any colour. This pendant is created with gorgeous Grossular Green Garnet chips on a rectanglar frame. When I saw these stones I just had to get them, and they just work wonderfully with the copper and silver wire in this pendant! It is made on a 16g copper wire frame, and the trunk and branches are wrapped in 22g copper and 24g silver-filled wire.

If left in the open air this pendant will develop a patina, and become darker with time. I love the way they look with a patina, more earthy and antique. It turns the copper darker, like an old penny. The silver will darken too, but not quite as quickly as the copper. If you prefer, you can use a soft cloth to polish the metals on a regular basis to keep it bright and shiny.

It is slightly wider than 1.25", and will hang a little more than 2.25" below the ribbon it comes with, which will be in a complementing colour. If you have a preference please let me know and I'll see what I can do. Sterling box chains in several lengths are also available for purchase. This pendant does not have a jump ring on it's frame, which means that it will rotate more freely than if it did. A great way to see the backside more often! If you'd like I can add a ring, just let me know.
