KHJvddrfhj! I knew this had to be on deviantart somewhere. I learned this method from your website, then forgot where I learned it. Now I can add this to my favorites so whenever I forget, I can say, "oh! I remember, it's in my favorites!"

anyway, great work. it's really helpful and makes all of my gradients a LOT smoother.

This is a very smart way to do gradients...I'm used to do them line by line...

Nice tutorial. I pretty much already knew how to do that but it does give a few tips i didn't know (ie it wasn't exactly the way i did it, and this might work better)

anyways, your tutorials always help me so much. I hope you'll do one about background elements XD

Oh wow, it so smoooooth ....*drool* Ty muchly, Jae, I'll definitely use the technique in the thing I'm working on now. It's a banner for the Outspark game Bread 'n Butter. ^_^ You should give it a shot sometime, it's delightfully mind-occupying.

are these made in MS paint or another highly advanced program like....something way up there on the shelves from ms paint and psp 7?

Mistress-Jaeden In reply to Irish-Spitfire [2008-07-20 05:43:38 +0000 UTC]

Pfft msp all the way. The major thing you need is the thumbnail. In both PSP7 (which i use) and photo shop the thumbnail is blurry. It doesnt work for pixel so its not worth ---MY--- time. it may work for other people but not for me.

besides those expensive programs dont have the brush diagnal settings which I use alot, AND i use the bezier (curve) tool for hair, that doesnt function the same at all in either of the other programs.

The important thing to remember with MSP is that its SIMPLE. Keep the artwork to a simple function and the overall piece will end up extensive.
