Guess who's been playing Hordes of the Underdark again this weekend...
So, Valen again...I had his 'I'm a part Tan'ari and we're in the Hells which is full of Baatezu' dialogue in mind when I drew this...especially when he tells you to leave him behind for your own safety. (Oh right, yeah...as if!!). Although for a man struggling against the urge to kill everything around him, he does look kind of serene... ahhh well, he's getting a cuddle

And here is Valen, nearly exactly how I always imagined him!
On most pictures, his horns are too big or too small for my taste, and his face is either too hard or too feminine, but not here.
I won't even mention their face expressions, because there are no words.
Did you really draw this just with colored pencils?

I have a very clear picture of what Valen looks like in my head, and it definitely contains a lot more of that gorgeous crimson hair than is possibly canon... 
Yep, all coloured pencils - have to admit, it does look better 'in the flesh', but I do look at this now and all I can see are the faults in it, because I drew it such a long time ago!
I really should stop just sketching Valen and actually finish some more recent pics of him off...

I spent years (and still do...) wishing I had green eyes to go with my red hair (mine are blue). A friend of mine suggested contacts. I shuddered at the thought...a lot!
