Fria was able to successfully hide from the various demons that were sent out looking for her. It took all her wit and guile to avoid them. Using too much magic would only help them track her down. It helped that most of the demons were rather dim-witted. But she knew that her luck wouldn't last much longer. Only a matter of time before she was found.

The magical message from Lady Rock gave her a beacon of hope... and an idea, but it would be risky. If she succeeded she would have the means of holding off the demons until she could make good her escape. If it failed, she would be back in the claws of the demon lord.

Fria made her way to the lair of the so-called dryder queen. She was no queen. Yes, she was a powerful sorcerous and she commanded a literal army of spiders and lesser dryders. But she had her own demoness to answer to. And her matron demoness kept her close - one to keep the riff raff away, and two, to keep an eye on her. Fria would have to be quick in what she had to do, before any attention was drawn.

Fria carefully made her way into the lair and closer to her target. Finally she could see her quarry from across the grand chamber. A quick glance also revealed that there was no cover between here and there! Her etherealness didn't work in the dark realms and she could feel the magical protections that would keep her from teleporting. She would have to figure out some other way to get close enough.

The dryder queen seemed distracted at the moment, gazing into the magic orb that she always carried.

Suddenly the queen looked up and stared directly at Fria!

Fria quickly ducked back behind the stalagmite, only then noticing the floating eye overhead with its gazed fixed squarely on her!
