Looked to me like a screen shot from one of those old movies set in 1920s or so ... all that's missing is Poirot and a murder.Please do not use without my permission or alter in any way.
All comments always more than welcome, especially about whether I am just imagining the atmosphere of it all.

O.O When I first quickly glanced at this, the water almost seemed to move. Lovely contrast and sharp detail in this. For me, this does seem to have a tense, charged vibe to it... but not necessarily of peril. More like returning to a place you'd left behind, and dealing with bittersweet memories. It's a stunning photo, either way.

the fact that it is in black and white makes it. If this were in color, I don't think it would have as much impact. Lovely image all the same.

It is both beautiful and disturbing. The water appears to contain a secret drama that we try in vain to bury. But the place is so beautiful, so peaceful.
The title is perfect. This place has the dangerous beauty of ambiguity.

Sometimes the very beautiful places do contain that element of disturbing and it even accentuates their beauty. I went back twice trying to get the right shot, the sea was not cooperating as you have to take it from a boat but it was worth it I think. Thank you again for an insightful and beautiful comment!
