thanks he is a bit pretty but what the hell. sometimes buyers want me to add hair and sometimes they ask for it to be removed, now removing it is a bitch! I get carried away with the veins, he has them on his feet and hands but I did have to remove some on his forearms .it was too much fun putting them on LOL

I use clay that doesn't seam all that well. I love feets. I just can't figure out how to keep parts from getting smushed in pose. I read that a lot of artist purposely smush the bottom because that is more realistic...

I don't know about that I make my feet pretty much last like my hands, I attache them then use the genises heat gun to set set then I'll do a light prebake @230 to 250 for about 10 minutes. I'm just real careful after this cause they are very delicate until its fully bakes. I over bake mine when I do my full cure if my sculpt measures 1 inch at the thickest then in stead of curing for 60 minutes which for prosculpt would be right I add another 20 to 30 minutes onto it,and then I attache my hands and cause they have kato mixed in I cure them for about 45 minutes. I like the color of fairy light when its a tiny bit brown, its lighter than baby color and much lighter than the regular Caucasian but no moonies with fairy light.

Even with my bigger sculptures I don't have clay that is an inch thick anywhere. I use foil cores everywhere.
I usually over bake too. From what I've tested the longer you bake the more flexible and stronger the sculpture is. I do worry about discoloration with my dolls though.
I love the color of fairy light. It is an awesome color and the texture after the clay is baked is heavenly.
I will have to try to set the hands and feet before attachment.

I never set the hands and feet before attaching them they are too brittle and what if they are not in the perfect position? I hate foil I use kato and old dirty prosculpt for my armatures and I bake them at 300 degrees. Did you know kato clay is going to change formula and have to be cured at 300?

I didn't know that. That will be stupid of the formulators. Because then people wont be able to use it in mixes. And honestly, I don't like the appearance of kato alone.

I agree and its going to suck big time. I add kato to the hands always. I read K Dewey was testing it but Haven't been back to her forum in months.
