Description This picture really deserves full view!

Picture is from Yellowstone. The "ground" is under thin layer of warm water and the colors are from massive bacteria colonies.

Simple picture, originally not much of an idea but wanted to up some photos from Yellowstone. However, it is better than "just a landscape" pic. The composition is IMO quite good considering that I took it in pieces. The view is almost surreal with "lava flows" and the mist reaching for tumbling sky...
The paved way curves beautifully and the people are placed nicely. Let me hear your feelings!

Pics are merged from several separate photos using the software that came with EOS 400D. Result was surprisingly good: can't find seams.

EDIT: I cropped some 5 % off the left side.

That's Midway! I miss it there, totally amazing! The grey sky was actually better for seeing its true colors.

Yes! This is one of my favourite places in Yellowstone. The colors were enhanced a bit and especially the bacterial colonies wouldn't look that bright if I hadn't used circular polarizer. The filter removed most of the reflection from the surface of the water.
