I don't care if you used it for reference. I do the same thing! It's a learning method!
I think you did a great job!

how is it exactally the same? the only way it would be exactally the same is if i traced, which i did not. once again it was a reference image. i have yet to learn to draw things just from my head so i practice drawing pictures that i like and find online. if you have a problem with the way i practice then deal with it, because its how i learn.

I don't think you understand what a reference is, but I have sympathy for you and I'll give you some advice.
Artists (that is, people who draw for a living and etc.) reference things they are unsure of how to draw - say, a hand. If I was confused about what a hand looked like, I would go ahead and reference my own hand, or a photo of a hand. I would look to see how the hand moved, and then apply it to the picture. Because I'm using an image of a real hand, I can be 100% sure that what I am learning off of is a hand and not someone else's work - this way you are also insuring you're drawing the hand properly.
A reference is not the whole picture. What you've done here is simply reproduced an someone's work - this is not referencing, it's reproducing. Saying it's "how you learn" is an excuse for being lazy and poor justification for a bad habit - it's also disrespectful towards people who've put the work in to learn properly.
By all means, look at other people's art and draw from it to practice - but by placing it up here in your gallery you practically claim its your own work, which it isn't.
If you want to really develop your drawing skills, draw from photos, or even better, real life.
