A light breeze stirred the air as Seiji approached the blossom path deep in the park. Although the park was located within West City, clever landscaping decisions blocked almost all of the sights and sounds of the city from this part of the park. There was no disguising the crowds of people that had congregated to look at the brief lived but pretty pink blossoms that were finally at peak bloom, the sign that spring was truly here and summer was coming.

Seiji felt incredibly self conscious as he joined the crowd; the vast majority of the people there were dressed in their everyday clothes, while he was one of only a few that had come wearing traditional clothes. He saw a few classmates from school, and he knew they saw him when he heard them giggle. He felt his cheeks start to burn as he pretended to look around, but he didn't need to look. Seiji could feel her before he ever saw her, standing by some traditional blossom lanterns and in a traditional dress of her own.

"There you are, Seiji!" Sumi beamed when she saw him. "You look so handsome in your traditional clothes, just like I said you would."

"Thanks, Sumi," Seiji blushed even harder. "You look beautiful."

"No I don't. I look too much like my dad to be beautiful. It's just my clothes that are beautiful."

"I don't care. I still prefer to look at the real you, not your psychic transformation disguises and alterations."

"Whatever," Sumi said, but she was smiling. She offered her hand to Seiji. "Come on, let's take a walk and enjoy the blossoms."

"Sure," Seiji, still feeling awkward, smiled and took her hand. They turned and hand in hand started down the blossom path together.
