do you use references for your sketches mostly the pose is out of your imagination?

i usually think of my own poses! sometimes i like to try out the pose i'm drawing irl to see if i'm doing it right; other times i might look up references if i'm unsure about the anatomy of my drawing ~
this sketch was just a simple sitting pose, but if i was doing a more dynamic pose i'd definitely look up more references for inspiration uwu
