it wasn't the night she was supposed to be married - she was already a vamp when she put on the wedding dress and went out and got all bloody by killing her ex-fiance.

thank you for correcting me. yes, I am actually supposed to know these things since I read the book more than once. I simply forgot about Rosalie's Story in details, and I was too lazy to look it up.

But she didn't get bloody at all. In fact, she made a point to tell Bella that she made sure not to spill any blood, because she knew she wouldn't be able to control herself then and she didn't want any part of them in her. "Not again," in her words.

I think they were disregarding the actual story and just going for visual effect. I mean, would you be more likely to pick up the picture of an angry chick in a wedding dress or an angry chick in a wedding dress and covered in blood? I'd go for the gore.
