Another Soluble Pencil sketch, 7-8 minutes...These are becoming my main medium of practice and experimentation these days.

This is yet another "snapshot" of that wonderful statue atop the entrance of the Mitsubishi Trust House in Lombard street (I think it was Lombard St...can't remember). The statue has three characters, one symbolizes the oceans, a very nasty Sphynx in the middle and this one...I read online this girl is an allegory of Fire.

Walking through The City (...London's Financial District, for non-Londoners) I realize that we have lost the capacity to embellish our Architecture with Art and Beauty; maybe this is the real legacy of Modernism.
