Description Reaper was born as Cori Catalpa, to two regular parents in Cherrygrove City. She grew up in an average house next to the ocean, and for a while, nothing seemed too remarkable about her except the fact that she was a quick learner. Then she learned to read, at a rapid pace. A nice skill, and not much else. She grew up with a family Pokemon, a small Poliwag and later, Politoed. She was taught to be quiet unless loudness was necessary, and to use her brain instead of brute force, a trait which carried over to her battle style, and her choice to keep her Pokemon deliberately weak, to challenge herself. (And also because she didn't like the final evolution that Tanya and Rosemarie had.)

One year, around when she was seven, Reaper's family went on a trip to Sinnoh, she saw the dragon statue in Eterna, and wanted desperately to know what Pokemon it was. Her family's tour guide, a trainer and breeder named Tora, told her the story of the dragon trio, and the creation of the universe. She also told Reaper a folk tale about a young man and a sword, which he used to smite Pokemon, until none were to be found.  The man questioned why they had disappeared, and a shadowy Pokemon told him that he smote without reason. Upon hearing this, the man threw down his sword, and the monster disappeared into another world...

Reaper was hooked. From then on, she started researching all the legends of the Pokemon universe, as well as trying to find out who the shadow in the legends was. Tory  had kept in contact with her through those years and encouraged her to research other region's mythology, not just Sinnoh. A month before her tenth birthday, Tory sent over a pink and green egg,  as "an early present." Considering how long it takes for an egg to hatch, Rosemarie was born the day after Reaper's birthday. Reaper was at first apprehensive about her first Pokemon, but they got along soon enough.

A few weeks after Rosemarie hatched, Professor Elm needed someone to deliver a package to the Sprout Tower. Reaper was the only one available, but she knew Rosemarie wouldn't be able to protect her (she didn't know any offensive attacks,) so Elm let her take a starter with her.(They give those Pokemon out like candy....) Reaper picked the Totodile, even though she had a gimpy eye, and wasn't too thrilled about being Reaper's Pokemon....until, on the way over, Reaper caught a Phanphy and named him Rophie. He kept the other two in line.

When Reaper made it to Violet City, she ran into a trainee of the gym. His name was Daniel who started traveling with Reaper. Later in Azalea Town, a coordinator named Nadalie, who joined the party as well. The three traveled across Johto to further their goals: Naddy wants to be a top coordinator, Reaper wants to be a top trainer, as well as meet legendaries, and Daniel wants his Pokemon to be top in the Pokethealon. Lots of things happened in between the time when the three met up and when they split after the Silver Conference. Reaper caught the rest of her team-Scythia at the National Park, caught Lydia after she and two other Pokemon got stuck under some boulders in Mount Mortar, and received Flyffie as an egg from her rival, Lucas, who got it from Jasmine, but didn't want it.

After collecting all the badges, Reaper face off at the Silver conference. She got really far, but eventually lost to Bruno, and decided she needed to train more. She, Daniel, Naddy, and Lucas all went their separate ways, trying to further their dreams. Reaper went to Sinnoh to train and study, Daniel went to a foreign region called Almia, to toughen up his team's bodies. Naddy went to Hoenn to get down to the fiber of what a contest is; to see the contest's genesis.
And Lucas? After he lost to Reaper, he pretty much fell off the face of the earth.

Reaper hopes to further her training in the Battle Frontier, and happens to be in the Survival Area currently.
Her parents hope that she gets some common sense and decides to further her study of Pokemon.
Who knows? Maybe one day she'll be the Professor of Pokemon history and lore. She has the name for it!
