Description Two MgN Fat Snakes with newly designed weapons to go with them. The clips on the guns are actually Modulex pieces, which I've finally found a good use for.

I swear all of these look like units the Tau Empire from Warhammer 40k would use in combat.

there must be unlimited ways to make lego mechs...

That's the beauty of Lego.

Y'know, I've gone through your gallery on multiple occasions. I love all the mechs you do, they're all amazing, and every time I see one I always mental mantra 'how do I build this how do I build this'.

So, I thought 'what harm would it be'. How do I build this?

I have a bunch of breakdowns of my stuff over on my blog (MfzOrion6.blogspot.com ) and there are also a bunch of other builds on the Mobile Frame Zero forums .

One last question: How do you get your pieces? Do you just buy a ton of sets, or do you get single bricks online or something?

Bricklink.com
The interface is a little weird, but once you get used to it there is no better way to buy your Lego.

I'm in awe of anyone who can make mechs this good w/ such a bare minimum of lego pieces!
It's a bloody form of art I say. Kinda zen.

Seeing these makes me wish i had got into lego instead of bionicle, and i love bionicle, stunning work btw,i love these little mechs

MittenNinja In reply to Cryosprime [2012-07-16 19:46:22 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! I've never really enjoyed Bionicle much, everything is just to special purpose. Standard Lego is way more versatile in my opinion.

Cryosprime In reply to MittenNinja [2012-07-16 19:58:17 +0000 UTC]

bionicle takes creativity in a different sense, although u could argue a very strong point in lego being more versatile

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MittenNinja In reply to Cryosprime [2012-07-16 20:02:33 +0000 UTC]

Oh absolutely. It's just a little hard to create stuff like buildings and scenery with bionicle. Lego is much more multi-purpose. And even in the realm of Mecha and such, there are some absolutely ridiculous Lego builds in both microscale (what mine are) and up.

Cryosprime In reply to MittenNinja [2012-07-16 20:06:07 +0000 UTC]

Oh yeah, i completely agree that lego is more multipurpose, and i personally think lego is better for microscale and scenery, i just found bionicle was cheaper and used less peices making humanoid figures which is wat ive always been interested in building

MittenNinja In reply to Cryosprime [2012-07-16 20:29:25 +0000 UTC]

You can get some really sweet stuff at larger scales too (See Nate Decastro's stuff for a good example). But yes, Bionicle is less parts intensive.

Cryosprime In reply to MittenNinja [2012-07-16 21:11:24 +0000 UTC]

Yeah overall i think lego is better for mechs, and the whole part usage thing is nott a problem in that it becoming complicated is an issue, its just more spare parts means more builds
