I’m not sure if Steven will ever rotate his gem to Pink Diamond’s or not, judging from comments from a video of a so-called fake screenshot and another deviation where Steven has the Pink Diamond rotation... Many people say that Pink Diamond would always be just Rose Quartz even if she gave up her life for Steven’s life span, and some also say that he would die if the gem had to be rotated. Not to be rude, just stating a point... Still like you Interpretation though. :/
