She is the pony abandoned in the old sisters castle she is the shadow pony. No one knows of her existance luna nor celestia have no domain over the stars like she does. She is an unknown force and very anti social the only friends she has is the stars up above and the animals around her. She does not like being alone but its her duty to sit beneath stars and take care of them as if they are her children keeping them away from black holes and potential threats but she is kinda lazy and sulks alone in her own madness. Shooting star acts like every other pony, she does not like silence so she often sits outside of the castle or plays the organ down in the basement to give her memories of her distant child hood being abandoned and having to fend for her self when she was only a foul she learned how to hunt. She never liked the dark this is why the stars are still around. Some sacrifices are made to make new stars and hope for a brighter feauter. She sleeps during the day and awakens at twilight each day to raise the stars. Shooting star is brave and has many fears not everypony is perfect.
