Majoheart: Fellas. It's a truly sad day today. Not only it's the 50th Anniversary of Aardman studios, I was informed that the legendary comedian and voice of the iconic parrot, Iago, Gilbert Gottfried has unfortunately passed away at 67. He was perhaps my favorite comedian and I listened to many of his podcasts and his stand up comedies and besides Iago, I knew him for voicing in several shows, movies and other media like in Aflac (as the duck), Ren and Stimpy (as Jerry the Belly Button Elf), Duckman (as Art De Salvo), Thumbelina (as Beetle), Timon and Pumbaa (as the Woodpecker), Superman the Animated Series (as Mr. Mxyzptlk, also in Justice League Action and the Lego Batman games), the Hercules TV series (as Cleon), The Fairly OddParents (as Dr. Bender), Cyberchase (as Digit), The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy (as Santa Claus), My Gym Partner's a Monkey (as Rick Platypus), MAD (as LinKONG and Crash), Robotomy (as Tickle Me Psycho), The 2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (as Kraang Sub-Prime), Mighty Magiswords (as Prohyas' Stomach), Spongebob Squarepants (as Sal) and Kamp Koral (as Shecky). I heard the last thing he voiced in before his death as Smiling Friends (as God). Now I'm without my trusty parrot pet. And I don't know anyone else in the world who could master the same voice Gilbert did. His voice was iconic. Sure, he can be annoying at times but at least it was one of the most memorable voices for any actor and it is truly disheartening knowing that that voice is now gone and a great comedian as left the planet. Now, if you would excuse me, I need to cry on my bed.
