Description The photo/drawing manip for my last school project. The overall theme was "the stranger in the village - concept of the other"

the actual thing is about 3m long, printed on canvas n stretched (with many near staples in my hands) to a cylinder 1m in diameter...it's a tad difficult to explain...i'll upload photos of the full installation when I've taken some nice ones.

General concept:
In order to remove definite imagery from the concept of ‘the stranger in the village’ everything – from construction, symbols etc. – is reduced to three shapes: the square, the triangle and the circle. The square is the village or the known and rational part of the equation. The circle, both mathematically and visually, is its complete opposite and thus represents the stranger, the unknown and irrational. The triangle is the necessary waste required to transform one polar into the other.
In order for the work to transcend past simple geometry different, yet related imagery was needed and thus the transformation from square to circle transformed into a retelling of the story of Icarus. A series of photographs of an anonymously created brass figurine, representing Icarus, twists from a humanoid square shape into the irrational, inexplicable omega sign and subsequently falls due to his hubris and human fallibility.
