Huum, something tells me that this bad new is that Kasumi or misty is now over whit him and its whit Gary. Or he just give up.
In the manga Red, did have a fatal heart deseace, and quit from be a gym leader to find a cure. Blue (gary) takes his spot.
Its for some reason related in some way?

No there are no couples in the anime. But IF there would be couples, it would become AshxMisty, MayxDrew, JessexJames and Dawn isn't sure for now but the main part things it would become with Shinji OR Kengo.
In the Manga there was a picture ending with GreenxBlue and RedxYellow - but it can change, cause they are stones now (don't ask me what had fone on, I haven't read the Manga CAUSE of Yellow...)

I din´t Know that yellow and Red end up together... that it is a really shame, but well, Their is a lot more of manga of pocket Monsters.
I dont remenber if Satoshi T. or the staff in the animated series, did a version of Yellow in the show. Or if then would do a version of her in a future. maybe it will turns interesting. Or maybe not.

ich mein Freunde sind Maike und Ash ja schon und ich glaub auch gute Freunde wenn man das so sagen kann
jap Lucia kenn ich auch noch net wirklich - aber nachdem ich mir die ersten paar Folgen angeguckt hab werd ich die Staffel nicht weiter verfolgen - außer die folgen wo die hints mit misty kommen
ich hab mich jetzt schon mit paar angelegt wegen einigen Szenen zwischen Ash und Lucia - ich hab kein Bock mehr *rofl*
und daher will ich es auch nimma gucken um mir nur schlechte Laune zu geben ><°

I guess they're heading towards something bad, or Ash is about to die, and the only one who can hide that he's not afraid is Ash.
Gary, Misty and May look concerned, whereas Dawn just looks terrfied.
Maril (or whatever the pre-evolved form's name is, I have no idea!) just looks like it doesn't know how to feel and is looking to Misty for guidance.
