Detail looks great, and I concur with Alpha-Dilophosaurus, you should do this for all of the animals in InGen Fi;es/

Well sure, I did like the markings on the Jurassic Park dinosaurs, save for the Raptors in JP1 - as they lacked markings at all (that I was aware of).

I think it was mostly lighting, but you can still make out some colors: [link]
Hereβs a maquette of the raptor used in the first Jurassic Park movie; [link]
We now know that the ones seen in the first movie are all female, and the ones seen in the Lost World are all males; [link]
Like the raptors in JPIII the females are dull and the males are extravagantly colored (like most birds).

Ahh, well it must have been the lighting after all! The Marquette image shows that clear as day! Thank you for showing me!
and silly me didn't even put into consideration that the raptors in The Lost World were males. I had presumed it were a mix of males and females.

I think also it partly has to do with the fact that the CGI technology was in itsβ infancy as well. You notice that all the animals from the first movie were dull β the T-rex was grey, the triceratops was brown, the raptors looked brown too. But look at the maquette of the T-rex.

I think it was probably on purpose (though it could have been a complete coincidence) that the scenes they featured in were low light conditions. The triceratops was out in the open, but a storm was brewing. The T-rex mainly appeared at night (except for where it was seen hunting a Gallimimus) and the only other time you see it was in the Visitor center. And the raptors are only seen at night (in the opening scene), in the jungle where they kill Muldoon, and in the visitor center...
I used to think that the raptors from each movie were all different, but it makes more sense - as all the animals on Isla Nublar were female, and it seems that like birds male raptors tend to be more colourful that the females...

Nice detail. You should indeed do this for all the InGen Files.
