Wow what a great piece, this is really the kind of stuff I love. I like the colour you used, and I can see where on the face you picked some highlights to really pop. The nose is awesome, I can see you might have tried to darken the left side of the portrait (right side of the face) to show more contrast? it kind of resulted in a different looking eye, If you change the value of ur background on the left side of the portrait to be slightly lighter vs a darker value of the right side of the portrait background it will make the left side (right side of the face) darker and more dramatic without you having to darken the actual features of the face .... Hope that wasn't too confusing.
One last thing is that the shading on ur forehead could be reversed. the highlighted nose currently blends into darkness on the forehead, and then it is lighter around the edge of the hair. If you reversed this, with a darker shade around the line of the hair, and almost the same brightness coming from the nose over each eyebrow it would be more synergistic.
Anyway some good points 
- nose is amazing, soft lines, good shading. I absolutely love that it isn't straight up and down.
-chin and cheeks, make the photo realistic.
overall its just a great picture!

Thank you so much for the critique and I totally get what you mean. Adding some more intense shading would definitely help bring out the face a lot more, I think as it stands, he kind of blends into the background. The highlight under his eye got goofed up when I tried to erase a part of it and it smudged . I was so frustrated but oh well. I think adding more shading, like you said, might take people's eyes away from that slip up. I definitely agree with inverting the shadows on the forehead, it would be more realistic that way, too. I really like this piece, I think you did a great job on showing the planes of the face and that makes it look more realistic. I know it's harder to get everything right in traditional art but there are a few things I think might help you on the next piece in my opinion. I feel like the ears should be a little lower as human ears begin almost at the level of the eyes. Another thing is that the eyes look slightly different from each other and I think that if you had made the background a different color it would help the face pop more. Good luck! And keep up the good work, practice a lot and study some anatomy.

woaaaaah this is so aesthetically pleasing....... i love the highlights. usually when artists draw stuff like this they only do shadows,,,,so cool so good so great
