I don't think he'd see it that way, to him gaster enlightened him about the world around him, we only perceive him as a deranged beanbag with limbs and a face cuz he's jumping around in a hidden cell screaming CHAOS CHAOS in our faces whilst we try to kill him through an obscene volley of scythes, ducks and other incoherent gibberish. Not to mention the 'I CAN DO ANYTHING's proceeded by a 'METAMORPHOSIS' and then getting a healthy serving of scythes to face.
