So I'm in classes this year to try and FINALLY finish off the coursework I need to get my teaching license and do something worth doing with my life. One of my classes is tying me up in knots. The assignment parameters are vague, one of the textbooks and half the required readings are preachy and condescending, and there is very little of practical use ANYWHERE. There's just enough that I've not yet broken down crying, but so, so, SO precious little, especially because my certification will be in secondary school instrumental music, which has precious little to do with elementary education/core subject classroom (which is what the writers/compilers of the materials assume you are going into, as that is, in fact, what the majority of ed students are studying for). It feels like I'm digging through sand at an ocean beach to find the pearls from someone's broken necklace.

So I drew this.

I've been replaying the Mass Effect series in preparation for Andromeda's release in just over two months and I have previously drawn a bunch of silly parody comics about the adventures of one Serena Shepard, but I've never done anything with them. I was so desperate to relax tonight that I pulled out a blank piece of printer paper and resolved to work on getting them redrawn properly, scanned, colored, and up on the Internet. So here we go: page one of my parody tribute to one of the most amazing video game series I've ever played.

Serena is really funny-looking for reasons that will eventually be explained if I remember to do it.

Mass Effect and all related everythings belong to Bioware; this is a parody/tribute/remix/it's-not-mine-please-don't-sue-me. Everybody go buy the video games and lavish love upon them and their creators.
