I epically failed colouring the younger griffin in places, and in some areas where it looks rough is because I used cruddy paper and it fell apart when colouring over T_T
other than that Im quite pleased with it, the mistakes made me realise there is always room for improvement.
Cross between tiger, leopard, cockatiel, peacock, parrot.

Ignore the wing anatomy, I need to learn that....
time: 20 hours
mediums: derwent coloursoft, faber castell, pencil, black pen.

First of all: That's some really smooth colouring. It looks really neat.
I can't see the mistakes you're talking about exept perhaps the wings of the father. To be honest they really looks more like a mane of featers to me. I didn't realise they were wings until i read your description I'm afraid.
I see ther's a difference between the way you drew the fur on the tail of the bigone and the rest of the furry parts of the griffins. The tail looks best because it moves more naturally. But this is just small things that I wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't looked really hard.
Overall it's very nicely done and it has that parent and child doing something funn together feel to it. Great job

Thanks very much, and I know what you mean about the wings, they are really hard to make out, but that means I can go research more about wings, how they look and work, so next time I wont make it look like a messy mane

yes coloursoft is great for blending and has a wide range of vibrant colours, but it helps to mix it with another brand like faber castell or prisma colours for the little details, because colorsoft may be good but they go blunt really quick!

This is truly a spectacular piece. What I love best about it is your use of color. The combination and choices were very well thought out but most of all their expressions are very heartwarming.
