Day 14 - a Fairytale.

Yes, The Little Mermaid is a Fairytale. If the thoroughly uneducated writings of Wiki are to be believed, it's a Danish fairy tale written in 1836 by Hans Christian Andersen.

I was going to do Rapunzel (I confess to having enjoyed Disney's portrayal of the story immensely), but then I thought "What kind of Disney fan am I without any Ariel fan art?" So here she is. I had no reference for that right hand, I had to wing it completely and I think I like it more than any other part of this piece. See? Growth when challenged.

Added my own flair here or there, otherwise tried to keep the animation style close to the original because, well, that's just how Ariel looks. Didn't finish it, and didn't have time to do a background. I'm a day behind as it is. I confess to spending yesterday (Valentines day) drinking entirely too much wine and enjoying the fine cooking of my husband.

Ah well, on we go.
