OMG o.o... I'm really sorry, I wanted to upload this on friday ( as I always do) but I'm stuck with loads of work at the moment -_-' I hate that.But now to the pic: Some of you know, that I never read more than the first series of the Warriors books. But now I really feel like giving the following series a second chance. I got a little curious about Ashfur, 'cause dA is full of pictures of this scene from "Long Shadows". So here's my illustration of the scene, when he steps between Squirrelflight and her, or better Leafpool's kits, to kill them in the fire and let Squirrelflight suffer as much as he did. Most pics on dA show him with an evil grin on his face, I don't know if he really did smile in the books, but I believe, that it wasn't satisfying for him to tell his love about his feelings and how his love finally turned into a torture for him, because she never loved him back the way he loved her. What finally turned his love to hate, and what let him decide to kill somebody close to Squirrelflight. I think it was quite hard for him, too :/ Eventhough it's quite psychopathic to be like "Okay, you don't love me and it hurts me so much, that I'll kill someone close to you, so you'll feel as bad as I do."... It's like an eye for an eye
Anyways, I hope you like it

i like Ashfur.....
As a villian
but tbh if i was her i would have rammed straight into him and knock him into da fire and use him as a bridge 2 save my adoptive kits from da fire and then slowly drag him out of da fireΒ

Β Ashfur seriously needs to calm down. He and Squirrelflight weren't even together to begin with, they were just friends, and Ashfur thought she was totally enamored with him. And all because of that, he tries ot RUIN HER LIFE. It's like going to court and saying, "Oh yeah, I tried to kill my girlfriend/boyfriend's dad and children and get her disowned and kicked outΒ just because she/he dumped me." WTF? And "dump" isn't even the right word - they were not a couple from the start.
And after all that, "His only fault was that he loved too much."
News flash: If you love someone, trying to ruin their life is not the way to go.

I have a weird thing with Ashfur
It's like my thing with Breezepelt, I understand his feelings and things, but that doesn't make his actions right, or reasonable
Except the only differnece is I used to like Ashfur ;3

Tbh.... I don't like ashfur very much. When he and squirrelflight started to (what date?) I HATED it. I liked brambleclaw so much better. It broke my heart when I realized the kits weren't his or squirrelflight's! And as for ashfur..... UGH! First off, he helped in trying to KILL firestar! I know cats always break clan rules, but I just hate him. Then, he basically trapped squirrelflight, hollyleaf, jayfeather and lionheart! Another thing, its basically ashfur's fault that hollyleaf died! She had no choice but to kill him, and when she ran from the meeting of the clans, she died! Ugh... I just don't like ashfur very much. He cause a lot of pain!

Okay, I apologize for the huge long post about Squirrelflight. I'm a little stressed for some reason and it's good to rant about something. On another note, love this piece of art--good job!

(WARNING; RANT ABOUT SQUIRRELFLIGHT. IF YOU LOVE HER, PLEASE DO NOT READ. I'M JUST VENTING RIGHT NOW.)
I don't know why but I despise Squirrelflight so much. Not because of the Ashfur situation, I mean I ... OMG I JUST REALIZED SOMETHING.
You know how Β she went "LOVE HATE LOVE HATE LOVE HATE LOVE HATE" with Brambleclaw?
I did the same thing with her, because I hated her at first, then I LOVED her on the journey, then now I hate her so much I literally rant aloud angrily whenever I read a page with her mentioned in it. I hate her more than Foxheart from Yellowfang's Secret, and she was my all-time worst character before.
This is what made me hate Squirrelflight who was previously one of my favorites.
- Brambleclaw x Squirrelflight, all is going on well and good.
- Brambleclaw starts to hang out with his half-brother, Hawkfrost, because they're siblings and stuff so when they're at gatherings they'll chat and do manly things or whatever guys/toms do.
- Despite Hawkfrost helping her sister before when she was attacked, being an overall cool guy, she immediately assumes he's evil and dishonest, screaming and crying and stomping her paws to Brambleclaw about him.
- Brambleclaw, like any reasonable human being--er, cat--goes "Wth is up with you?! Is this because Tigerstar is my father? Why are you acting like this?"Β
- Squirrelflight continues to throw tantrums (I love when Brambleclaw tells her to stop acting like an apprentice. I couldn't have said it better myself.) and then ignores Brambleclaw despite his (shocking) attempts to rekindle their friendship and apologize (even though he did absolutely nothing wrong, mind you)
- Squirrelflight whines that "HEEE'S NIT TE CIT EI THUT HEEE WUS" and continues to be a brat forever.
Because of this, I literally will not forgive this character. I loved her on the journey, but now she makes me quiver with rage whenever she has a P.O.V. moment.
TL;DR I loved Squirrelflight, now I hate her with all my being. Rant over.

Let us compare ash fur to thrush pelt now them children. Thrushpelt new blue fur loved somebody else and he went on with his life and cared for blue furs kits as if it were his own loving her and them till the end. Now ash fur had to go and mourn for himself and almost going insane when squirrel love another guy. Still love this picture tho

At first I really was angry with Ashfur for his actions. But as the books went along I started to hate squirrelflight rather then him. Most people think he went crazy because she wouldn't love him and he wanted her to. I love how you corrected it and said it was because of how painful his heart break was.

Not trying to be rude but thats exactly why Ashfur lost her to Bramblestar. She only wanted to be his friend for the time being but he pushed too hard so when Bramblestar got of of his bad attitude she choose him. She also had more of a relationship with him, having gone on the journey with him too.

I'm not trying to say that squirrelflight loved him or anything like that. What I'm trying to say is that he didn't try to kill her and the kits because she wouldn't love him. He did it out of pain. Yes I know that it wasn't squirrelflights fault and yes I know she choose brambleclaw because of she diid love him and everything. Also ashfur was a bit too protective of her which she didn't like because she preferred freedom. All I was saying is that people aren't correct when they say that ashfur attacked her because she wouldn't love him.

No it's okay! I'm glad we understand each other. I'm not saying what ashfur did was okay either. All I was saying was he did it for a different reason then most people claim. That's all. Tbh there are only a small amount of characters in the warrior series I don't like simply because if I talk about a character enough I like them. That happened with Ashfur.Β

You didnt sound rude ^^ plus it better than most people only liking one cat because of like acertain thing that happened and not for the real character. FOr example (i like jayfeather cause hes like me in the morning x3) People only liking Jayfeather because he's blind.

I like him because he doesn't expect people to pity him. He doesn't want attention because of his condition, he's able to WALK IN DREAMS and he has a comeback for everything. I don't really like Millie though.Β

I have to say my favoirte warriors cat is Ivypool. It makes me mad that Lionblaze didn't believe her when she was telling him that birchfall wasn't trying to betray them. And that Dovewing says she had her back but then she doesn't help her when she needs it most.

Originally I kept getting mad at her when she started training in the dark forest but then I began to understand. She just wanted to feel loved. She wanted someone who cared enough to actually notice her and tell her that she was just as great as her sister. Everyone was basically ignoring her then the dark forest came along and gave her just what she wanted. It's not surprising that she was mislead.Β
Also when Dovewing told her to stop training it was kind of expected that Ivy would expect Dove to be jealous. The spotlight was kind of being stolen and that was what Ivy thought Dovewing was made about.Β

I'm happy she ended up with Bumblestripe because Tigerheart showed he was more loyal to his clan then her. Which isn't a bad thing but if you have a mate and you truly love them they should come first. And I guess he realized that in the final book. Both of them realized it wouldn't work out which was sad but practical.Β

Yeah. Atleast they didn't end up like Gray X Silver, two clans fighting over the kits. And I'm glad she ended up with Bumblestripe too becaue I think it's weird that everyone thinks she or Ivypool like Foxleap even though he's there uncle.
