This is just adorable, but hating a series just because of its Smash representation was the same mistake that I once made, along with labelling them as nothing but dating sims and collections of 90-pound ladyboys. And it didn't help that my first Fire Emblem was Shadow Dragon, probably the weakest in the series. But that all changed when, out of curiosity, I looked up a playthrough of FE7, Blazing Sword, on the GBA. From there, I felt compelled to try out Awakening, Fates Conquest (which Felicia is from, by the way) and Sacred Stones. Since then, Fire Emblem has overtaken Metroid (which is long dead) and PokΓ©mon (which IS overrepresented)Β as my favourite Nintendo franchise. So at least give FE a chance.

I getcha, but I'll admit that's unfair. The games themselves are very fun, and I wholeheartedly think Ike and Roy have no place in smash. But then again, there's far too many mario characters, and a few Zelda characters have no place either...

Yeah but they already sucked the goodness out of ganon, Zelda isn't that good, and Shiek is more irrelevant than Ike to the modern gaming world.
Annnnd Fire Emblem in terms of RECENT games has been one of the biggest successes, with Awakening and Fates garnering new and massive cult followings, and popularizing a series which had already been top 5 in Japan.

I meant what I said with both. Zelda is seen as a poor character, Ganon is an awful representation, Sheik is as irrelevant as the older FE characters.
But also blah blah what I said about recent revivals, that is true. Nintendo is hammering Fire Emblem into the states because there's a cult following that is shelling out cash for everything in it.
Also, keep in mind that as far as main protagonists, Zelda is always the big three, for the most part, but Fire Emblem almost always has a new main character and storyline, and therefore having just marth Ike and Roy representing Fates would be silly.

But skull kid is dated, and really only has a role in Majora's Mask. Nintendo is prioritizing new releases, and classic staples. Skull kid is great I'll admit, but he's less likely to be added than Tingle. And Is it really fair to call fire emblem characters Korea Pop stars with a sword? You're pushing too hard your personal agenda and bitterness against an RPG series you know nothing about, and therefore skewing the public opinion on it. Plus, yes the vast majority of americans didn't know who Marth Ike and Roy were outside of smash, but they knew they were Japanese not Korean, but Awakening onward Fire Emblem has become a flagship series, getting as much press attention, sales, and online interviews as Zelda, Pokemon, Mario, and Kirby.

I don't get why anyone would hate a series just because of the number of characters in Smash 4. We have alot of Mario related characters and Pokemon related characters. So it's really unfair considering you never played any Fire Emblem game. Because Fire Emblem games expecially Awakening and Fates are really fun and enjoyable. If you're into the RPG type of games.
