Description
The final words of Mara Jae Skywalker after she is hit with a poison dart delivered by her nephew, Jacen Solo. Such a sad, sad death..... she was such an awesome character. I cried very hard when she died. Especially at the reactions of Luke and Ben. Just like with Anakin Solo's death. I get too emotionally involved with these books.

I had zero sympathy for Jacen after that. His death was supposed to be sad. I only thought it was thoroughly deserved and a long time coming.

I love star wars and mara is so totally freakin awesome. when I found out jacen killed her I hated jacen for like a month.

wow...yes..I loved that part...Mara is like....I guess to put this in star wars lingo...a mama nexu defending her cub. She's like, you *** with my son and I will put you down.
I cried alot too when mara died. .I think my friend put it best. when I told her how she died..really poison...she was such a BA and she goes out like a punk. lol
and when luke was overcome with the reality of her death, his grief just washed over me in torrents and i was crying even more....my mom probably woulda had the same reaction as yours did if she had heard me bawling late at night

It was sad and its not how I wanted her to go....a poison stick really!.....I wanted Mara to have been shot so many times that she shouldn't have been standing but was still fighting...u know...like that dude in Lord of the Rings that got shot by arrows so many times but was still fighting....thats how Mara Jade Skywalker should have gone....shoulda gone out fighting to the end

I too almost cried when Mara died... and I've been down all week long.

I got depressed for a while upon reading of Mara's death for the first time...I love emotional books, and dang it, I certainly got that in Sacrifice. Sometimes reading about character's deaths, especially that of my favorite characters, leaves me depressed for hours.

You should've seen the look on my Mom's face when she walked in as I was reading the scene.
Mom: Oh my god, are you okay?!?! 0_O
Me: I uh... er.... yes..... *stifles another cry*
Mom: *sees her holding a book clearly named "SACRIFICE" and puts two and two together* Oh.... you disappoint me!
Me: Quiet, it's sad!
Mom: *walks away shaking her head, chuckling*

XD My friends asked me same question when I finished the one where Anakin Solo dies. Only worse!
Friend: What is going on- oh my god are you CRYING?
Me: Shut up! I'm not crying!
Friend: Okay.
But it was bad because it was small soft innocent mousy type of misty crying! DX Damn you SWG for making me cry too many times!!!!
