Lasertron Mask can shoot powerful infrared beams that superheat the molecules of its target causing the area it hits to overheat and explode. For example if Lasertron targets a moving vehicle’s front end it will superheat the molecules of that section of the vehicle and cause it to violently explode causing crippling damage to the vehicle.

Lasertron has infrared night vision capabilities enabling the wearer to see targets in total darkness by amplifying ambient light increasing in-the-dark visibility without actually using visible light sources.

Lasertron can also use infrared for thermal imaging. Because infrared radiation is emitted by all objects based on their temperatures Lasertron uses its thermograph ability to make it possible for it’s wearer to "see" their environment with or without visible illumination.

Because of its night vision and thermal imaging abilities Lasertron has the ability to track any target the wearer wants no matter the visibility or environment it is in.

Lasertron links up any M.A.S.K. vehicle’s targeting system and uses its infrared tracking ability which uses the emission from a target of electromagnetic radiation in the infrared part of the spectrum to track it. This give the weapons systems it links up with heat seeking capabilities allowing missiles, projectiles or any other fired weapon to home in on any heat signature Lasertron targets.
