Description Princess Cimorene from Dealing with Dragons... by... Patricia C. Wrede. The series of books is called the "Enchanted Forest Chronicles."

I *worshipped* these books when I was younger. They were vividly created worlds in my mind, I could touch and feel them and I could jump into the mind of which ever character I felt like.

In case you don't know: Princess Cimorene ran away from home because it was boring and she wanted an adventurous life. But what is properly appropriate for a princess looking for adventure? Oh yeah--getting captured by a Dragon... except in Cimorene's case, she gives herself up to one Kazul who basically becomes her employer, her protector and provider. They build a friendship, and Cimorene does NOT want to be rescued from her dragon.

She's a great, practical, headstrong princess. Not afraid to get her hands dirty. (Which is why she's wearing her cleaning clothes and holding a mop handle.

She's perfect! I love how she's lovely, yes, but her face is also SO FULL OF PERSONALITY. You've nailed her perfectly; practical, lively and looking about to leap right off the page with how much she is NOT interesting in standing around waiting for rescue. Her expression is amazing (and the way you did her hair is really pretty) thank you for making such a beautiful homage to a series I was actually just rereading tonight!

Dude, I LOVED these books as a kid!! She was so badass! Love her practical, no-nonsense attitude. (The books also made me very curious to try cherries jubilee, lol.) Nice expression, it suits her.

You know, I never had an appropriate phrase to describe how much these books meant to me when I was younger... and I never thought about it until you said you *worshipped* them. That's IT! That is EXACTLY how I was.
So thank you.
And this is beautiful.

Haha. Great way to portray Cimorene. I like what you did with her hair. Seems like a sensible way to have it while cleaning, since hers is supposed to be so long, and would most likely get in the way. I also like how you didn't make her strikingly beautiful, but instead a little more realisitc and unique. It works well for her. Great job.

I just re-read these not long ago. So much fun! And this is a great picture of her. I was so happy after reading the first book to discover there were sequels... I just wish there were even more, now >.>

ha, yeah me too. My mom has a beautiful straight nose. I have a big ol' crooked schnoz, but I guess it fits my personality.

I don't think this about your nose at all. And people with cute little noses were never my personal favorites.

I loved this series when I was younger! I always think about the communication mirrors. For some reason that always stuck with me. Such awesome characters. I totally want to read them again now.

I think I heard of this series. One of my friends (who is very keen on dragons) told me about it but I can never get around to reading any of the books.

they're great, generally geared towards younger readers, though (like Tamora Pierce books).
