Description Deck level detail of steampunk (1900s) art deco frigate.

Wooden Ship models and boat models/nautical models from the French National Naval Museum. Some of these shots are lower quality than I would have liked due to interfering glass and/or poor lighting. Back in the 18th century, when a contractor proposed to build a new ship for the government, they often presented extremely detailed scale models of what the ship was going to look like. These models are on display - some of them are huge and I tried to get right down onto the decks to get interesting angles.

I thought these might still be useful for references.

Would you happen to know the name of this ship?

I'm not sure; it's been years since I was at that museum. It's one of the 1890s main battleships - may be the "surcouf"
