mmm...your guide has been kissing the Blarney Stone - it's medieval. (The Irish didn't have arches before then, though they had a lot of other good stuff.)

Aaaah, sorry. My bad. The bridge was on the way to an iron age circle castle (VERY cool) about 600 yards beyond and I thought they were contemporaneous. Thanks for the correction!
