Description
This is a re-touched version of an older photo I've posted elsewhere. In this version I've given the monochrome conversion a lighter touch and gone for a bit more subtlety in the highlights. The original shot was lit with 2 large softboxes to camera right, and has an extreme contrast difference (as you can tell) across the scene. By doing the monochrome conversion on the blue channel instead of the red, I was able to preserve more delicate tones in her raised leg.Model is Samantha Stine.

I was looking through your gallery and then I came to this one and right when it appeared on screen I said "wow", I said some stuff out loud when I saw some of the other ones like "beatuiful" and "amazing" but never wow untill now.

She was in that pose for about 30 seconds. Shooting Samantha is fun - she just moves around and does cool stuff like that, and never stops. My job is to just sit there and mash the button when she looks good.

ya know, i probably wouldn't have paid attention if you hadn't described your monochrome conversion.
having that in mind i noticed the touch of yellow by her knee and the hint of magenta on her upper thigh & ribs.
they are subtle enough to not draw attention but their presence gives more depth and visual impact to the image.
very good!
