This is a very nice piece. Gotta say, this is the first realistically done kobold I've seen in a while. A lot of them are drawn as 'cutebolds' from what I've seen.

Gotta keep that copper smelting industry running!

That kobold is even modelled after the cutebolds, an attempt to transfer cutebold features into a less simplified and cutesy style. It was fun to do.

Contrary to popular belief, A kobold is not a member of the goblin genus family.
They more resemble a similarity to the reptilian and canine family trees.

actually, their mythos has them depicted as gaint humanoid rats you might recall the little candle obsessed fellows from WoW who hung out in mines, same critter basically.
