Old Town Temecula journal cover

This piece was all mine, mine, mine. I had gone to Old Town Temecula on a mission: a mission to take pictures for the "journey journal" for my second project since apparently my trip to Santa Monica Pier "didn't have any meaning" and to finish gathering the items I needed for a Mother's Day gift.

[Eurgh, I spent a whole lot more that I meant to on that gift so I feel the need to spend about an equal amount on my Dad's gift... not that I'm going to do it on purpose, but I want the gift to have the same amount of oomph.]

So I took all the pictures for this journal, including the ones of the spices I put in that crazy pattern on the cover, etc., and I must say I rather liked the way it turned out.

Interesting note: the teacher spent a lot of time bashing my work on this, saying it wasn't clear enough, etc. (though he liked my cover), but I'm a little surprised he didn't notice that my project had the most pages of all the projects. (I had included a front and back cover, the inside of both covers, and had carefully tweaked the layout so it would look like, if you didn't cover up all the pages completely with pictures, like it was an album I might've picked up in an Old Town Temecula gift shop. I might add more pages than this one, I might not. At any rate, I liked this one the most.
The whole of the journal made me feel, well, rather hungry.
