Description This is almost completed. I decided to place it under miscellaneous because it really shouldn't be under people or portrait.
Thanks for viewing I had a lot of fun painting this one. The photo could be better and perhaps when it is done I will get a better photo.

Something... I was focusing on the hands that create.... and not necessarily on the object of creation.

This is really quite wonderful and reminds me so much of the old masters. plus it made me want to get back to working with nore traditional materials.

This is stunning work. I love how you treat the hands and what i love the most is portraying the person by things they enjoy to do and love.

Yes, I wanted to speak to all those who use their hands to create some of the most precious pieces... but more importantly, I wanted to try and capture the strength in his hands.. I wanted to embrace the melody and play of the persons hands... His fingers as they gently press against the clay, the way with which he ever so slowing mold his subject.. I think about what it must have been like for God to create us... Perhaps it wasn't as simplistic or rather as instrinsic yet, a part of me would like to believe that a lot of thought, gentleness, and movement went into his "Creation"..

you did amazingly well... i think this is the strongest piece in your gallery on DA. Hands are good focus in this instance instead of the classical portrait because they say about the person the most.
