Description Ok... here we go.
This was my first time making a catcher with a vine ring. I was paranoid that the ring would destroy itself before I got around to weaving the actual catcher. For some reason it took me two months to get around to doing it.

The original idea was inspired by another catcher that my friend, Brianna, had commented on. I wanted to remake it with my own twist. The original had a circular plastic blue bead at its centre with the feathers hanging on two strings from the bottom. It lacked the purple beads as well.
As always I made this catcher as a birthday present for a friend.

The purple amethyst beads were added because they were her favourite colour and birthstone. Being a rather tranquil and peaceful person I tried to space the three stones evenly apart to form a sort of peace sign. There's another reason for the peace sign but it's to hard to explain. The centre tear shaped bead is, my favourite stone, blueberry quartz.

The ring is made of four grape vines to symbolize the four directions (clans, medicines, stages in life, elements and seasons) and how with them interweaving and interacting balance can be made. Also, the 'flower' has seven petals to symbolize the guidance of the seven grandfathers.
There are other minor reason for how and what I made it out of but they're harder to explain.

So there you have it my favourite catcher to date.
