Description A couple years ago, I started drawing illustrations for The Grapes of Wrath, in a completely different style (inspired by Diebenkorn). I like them, and hopefully someday, I can illustrate the whole book.

This the part of the story where Grandpa refuses to leave their home in the dustbowl.

These are stupendous. I feel like this style captures the feeling of the story very well.

Thanks, I'm glad you think so! It's one I would like to pursue further... someday, when I can convince publishers to print illustrated classics.

This is amazing!! I love the way its divided, and the figures are fantastic. Very expressive of the hazy dustbowl times.

That would be amazing! I think you really capture something of the book. (Maybe because the colors remind me of the yellowed pages of my copy.)
But it's hard to get.. I've tried.

I love the colors and the choppiness of it.
Coincidentally, I'm reading that book for English right now.
But I didn't imagine the scene to be so sad...I really like this...
