Okay well this is an 'attempt' to break my recent artistic slump I've been in. My daughter and I love this show so this in part is for her as well.
This is Princess Yue from Avatar the Last Airbender. Yes, the show on Nickelodeon- I'm a fan. Anyways, Princess Yue was Sokka's love interest at the North Pole. She ended up giving up her life for the good of the world. She was brought to life by the moon spirit, and returned the favor when Zhao killed the moon spirit's mortal form, a koi fish.
It's such a tragically sad moment of the show to see played out and it spurred me to attempt my rendering. Please feel free to critique it- I might add the sparse amounts of color later. Time taken this round? - I dunno- was done in spurts over 2 days in various leaded pencils.

If that's a rule about printing then it's the first I've heard. Besides, no one has bought one anyways..I'd like to think of my offering it as a print more of a theft deterrant than anything else.

Besides, I'm sure if I'd broken any rules they would have taken it down..believe me they watch us. They love to change the categories I put things under too.
I'm not out trying to make money off my art either. If you hadn't noticed. I don't think I'm 'good enough' to get into that kind of thing..I just did it this way because I can't simply print off copies of my art to give to everyone that wants one so I've picked the cheapest prices I can. LOL you're basically paying dA's printing/shipping prices and that's it.
heh I think I get like $0.30 a picture or something cheesy like that, I honestly forget..and I'd still have to sell one first anyways.

I know you don't care (which is good cuz you don't know me/owe me anything anyway) and were just answering me. I was just letting you know I wasn't trying to instigate. And I know they watch us like hawks but also since no one's bought it yet (and I know we basically pay dA to GET paid, which sux) they haven't noticed it yet. Cuz it's when a buyer wants to purchase the print is when they'll realize that "hey...isn't that that chick from that show? oh yeah! it is! that's fanart" and stuff lol

I always tell people if it's fanart in the description so people should know what it is..

Yeah I know. I saw it. And I'm sure that's why they'd wanna buy it. I was just saying that that's when the people from the site and stuff who process the orders do the double checking and see if it's fanart or w/e.

And yes the blonde in front. Didn't know you drew more than one blonde in your gallery cuz I was rushing out when I'd looked at them briefly.

There's a LOT in my sketchpad that never makes it to this site. Plus, to make things worse I went home over the summer and got the lot I'd left there.

I guess seing the moon helps me remember, or maybe it helps me forget. all I know is that it gives me the strength I need to survive. (sounds appropriate, so I guess I'll say it)

Really really nice. I love the flowyness of her dress and hair, it really gives off the 'spirit mood'
