My uncle is rewriting the Sequel Trilogy and I'm wondering if it's cool if he uses this design.

To be honest, it's strange that the ring is open.

ring exclusively technological factor for the establishment of a centre of collection of the rays of the turbolaser.... incomplete ring does not affect the result of the shot

assume the reactor is a standard... how many turbolaser on the cruiser? assume 30-40 visually the power of each beam in the ring is comparable 5x turbolaser that we are in power reactors of the cruiser and if the principle is similar to the death star and there is a pumping lenses there is a beam in the 150-200x (death star 8 x 200x + lens = 3000-6000x death star in any case is more powerful but the cruiser pumped all the same more efficient and maneuverable) (all figures are fictional and are just for a rough comparison between the death star and cruiser)

I am so glad this isn't canon... it ISN'T cannon right? the galaxy does not need this. Not at all.

bloody cool though

As fun as it would be seeing the Empire using these ships to wipe the floor with the rebels with these ships... it would probably result in a very bad dictatorship.

He he, now Empire don't need to build another Death Star. May be it isn't so devastating, but much cheaper.

Good stand off or siege weapon! Time it takes to deploy fire and recharge. Rebels be all over the fleet! Got to know its coming by scouts and spies! Best use as defensive weapons deployed along safe zones or to secure supply routes! Great idea though!

Lets equip SDs with minature DS lasers and save billions on building one apprently very fragile superweapon. I smell profit.

This looks...odd, but in a good way. Nice job!

It seems like this type of ship would be a one-a-fleet kind of thing. It would likely have few offensive armaments other than the main weapon and would be quite slow. Thus it would be protected by various other ships including it's own large detachment of Ties and sit in the back until charged. Nice design though.

Β Energy ? 1/5 1/4 the output of a Death Star ?

No, impossible lol the Death Star’s reactor has a 15km diameter, the most this could fit would be a few hundred metres thus it could only put out a few millionths of the firepower. It might be good for some anti-capital ship duties or continent-blasting but that’s about it.

Laugh at their inability to actually power the thing with such a, relatively, small ship?

So, if the target 'catches' the death beam, would that technically be a draw as they catch the laser so the SD is out, but.....they caught the laser, so they're like.....dead.

Hahah, I imagine they'd be a plot hole where they can reflect the shot back into the Star Destroyer XDΒ

Holy crap. Props man that's some creative and well drawn stuff right there. Only complaint is that either the drawing or the perspective make the scaling on the TIE-fighters a bit weird, for example Β It's hard to gauge how far away the one in the top right is or if it's really fucking big.

One of the weirdest but somehow enjoyable different designs I ever seen in my life.
