Tape. I too, make paper children, they are fun to make. also if your VERY careful. with scissors, you can make smal punture holes and cut along tight-small spaces.
they arnt hard to make at all!
you just need patience and imaagination!~
you don't always need tape to make them stand or to make them look as if they're doing stuff. you can balance them on objects.
