I couldn't comment on YouTube, so I guess I'll comment here: I'm kind of surpised you didn't mention the fact that Rarity was using dark magic in that episode, as mentioned by Twilight. I figured that since you have an interest in Sombra (or I think so, because he's been in some of your videos), you might have a theory over the matter?Β
(I personally think Sombra made the spellbook as a joke and is probably laughing his ass off in Tartarus over it)

as funny as Hell that would be, its highly unlikely, considering the inspiration manifestations original form, Id say thats a pretty ancient spell book, from a primal era of magic maybe? then again im getting ahead of myself, since equestria has no recorded primal era, that we know of, it probably came from WAAAAY before the royal duo came onto the scene, this is considering its stone design, maybe the royal duo sealed it in the library of hte old castle to keep it hidden?

On a mostly unrelated note: when people ask me why I dislike Flash Sentry so much, I have to admit it's nothing about him per se, it's a fear that he's the beginning of a slippery slope that will turn MLP:FiM into that scene you used in the closing credits.

I'm right there with you. It is not possible to dislike Flash Sentry's character for there is not enough character to warrant hate. I think those who dislike Flash are against the ideas he represents more than anything else.
I would enjoy seeing a romantic subplot in the show, but given its episodic nature and the target age group, I doubt it will ever happen. So I'd rather they not try to shoehorn in a shallow romance in place of something more genuine.

Well, for inspiration Manifestation, i honestly felt, this was the begining of a Sparity Shipping Fanfic that hasbro picked up and made it animated, Hell, it follows the same pattern (to my eyes at least )
+ Spike being overly suportive and praises Rarity for everything ( more than usual )
+ Rarity gets a breakdown, because things didnΒ΄t happened as she wanted ( in most fanfics i read, this usually happens with high society colts, in the episode, the puppetier stage... * facehoof * )
+ Spike tries to fix it, but Rarity messed up hurting Spike heart, she then notice her mistake and tries to fix it ( This... is where the episode breaks the Sparity pattern, because on most fanfics i read, just to name a example, Curse of the Werepony, is Rarity the one that makes the problem, here, is Spike the one that made the problem, and he slowly notice it, and fix it at the end )
+ Spike and Rarity friendship relationship increases
Now, im not saying that Hasbro would go that far as to copy a fanfic of a brony, but over the past seasons, they really have taken inspiration from them and the brony community in general, which i like the most ( dear Luna, pardon my grammar mistakes, ;_; im good at talking, and not so good at writting ) but i do found several things as which you already explained, usually Spike, being the only Main Male Character ( in calling him main, because, from the only male character the mane 6 interact in their day by day, is Spike, sorry Big Mac Fans ), gets the short end of the stick, and im really glad how the Characters had evolved, not only the mane 6, but Spike as well, not only with his obsecion about rarity, but as well as his interaction with anypony close to him, Which for me, Make Equestria Games a little personal note there ^^U
I found the puppetier, much ungrateful, i know that Rarity Stage was very small and do not travel, but hey, he could take out the flower bases to appear, and use the puppets without him, i mean, he is a unicorn, he do not need to appear on stage, since he is using magic and can control the dolls from afar, so i believed that Rarity had all reason to burst into tears, but being the drama queen she is... call the Ice Cream company * eats a mint icecream * what?, i like mint ice cream ;3
As for The Everfree forest and their constant secret passages... well... no comment there, heck, i wrote a story based on another fanfic and yet i used the library of the Eveefree forest for the same reason, it gives us writters a good place to explore, secrets to find, and literraly, let lose our imagination on what we can find, thatΒ΄s why primary i could finish my story, so great job hasbro, for giving us a space on the castle, and dear Celestia, when i saw Spike take that book, i believed he found the Bombminomicon from TF2 o_O, but as i suspected, this was going to go downhill ( Keyframe no offence, but you got to admit, with exception of Discord, all enemies of the Mane Six had Green Magic as their " evil Magic " source, which i find it odd, since there are several villans and questionable characters with different magic aura than green, Except the Flim Flam Brothers ) , and it went, but it clearly shows how Spike although being supportive, have problems in realising what Rarity is causing... but still something bugs me... How in Equestria, Did Fluttershy knew the passageways of the new bird house? can somepony explain this to me? o_o, the moral was briliant at the end, as most problems in life due come by the fear of telling others what we think and what is our take on certain actions or topic, but being able to tell them and face them is not only the right thing to do, but can strenght the ties of a person close to you
As for the Equestria Games, i can relate to Spike having stagefright, as a Cosplayer, days, weeks or even months of preparation can help you with your presentation, but seeing a huge audience ready to judge you and see your performance, cand make you lose focus and forget what you where supposed to be doing, and just start to improvise, just that in spike case, it was applied to the Maximum Percentage, Got multiplied by 9000, and then increased to Lauren Levels, but when i enconter my first failed cosplay contest, i felt like spike during the episode, but on the Series, spike took it better, and manage to get better on that, giving him not only one of the best character develoment i ever saw, but also a epic Firebreath and Saving the Crystal Empire, Twice!

hmmm... I may have an idea on how to get you out of that dimension... just see if a crack that leads to Helheim Forest opens up and go through it. Then hopefully find a crack that leads back home. Word of warning, don't eat the fruits there, you'll turn into a monster and it'll be hectic. I've seen it happen before.
