I've committed a transgression by appropriating Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie to express my thanks to Jim Miller and the DHX staff. Still, I'd like to think that the "real" Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy would show the same support.
For those who might not know, Jim Miller and many of the show's writers received harassing messages via social media after the series finale leaked. There are so many ways to express ideas about the ending, what we might have wanted to go differently, and what we might enjoy. Sending insults and threats to the show writers is one of the least effective and least healthy means of expression. So this is my expression in support of the staff and their work. I might criticize or joke about aspects, but I wouldn't be investing my time and energy if I didn't find the experience rewarding.
I do ask that people not speculate, discuss, or divulge any spoilers in the comments.

That's very nice of you to make it. Being a write on a succesfull show can be really stresful and people constantly demand things from them and are always dissatisfied when something doesn't go their way.
But the show was never about the individuals. If people want to have individual interpretations and versions of the finale - fine. But they should really act like the freakin' adults they supposedly are.

Thank you for caring about Jim Miller's efforts, patience and kindness over the years. Hes a funny guy and he had some people send him very mean nasty things, including death threats because of the show ending sadly. I love the fans who can be appreciative of the show and thankful instead of vindictive and mean. ❤

I won't spoil anything, but seriously... I loved the finale and the epilogue! Don't get me wrong, death threats are NEVER justified, but I honestly didn't expect crazy bronies to hate the ending so much that they'd once again choose to prove how entitled and toxic they really are. I mean, come on, what was really so bad about the last episodes that it triggered such hate? Don't answer that, because the answer is NOTHING. What kind of an ending did people expect from a show called Friendship is Magic, anyway? I was very satisfied myself, thank you very much. Some of the decisions surprised me, but I didn't hate any of them. I guess some people simply can't stand the idea of their headcanons and/or ships getting ruined, but I say, to hell with those things! I always enjoy fan content based on canon more than fanon for a reason, and this is the reason. Less people get angry if they don't get too attached to their own ideas.
Anyway, thanks for making this comic and I'm glad you'll keep doing them! I wish more of us bronies were like you, Silver Quill.

My thoughts exactly! Episode 26 was amazing in my humble opinion! It seemed like the writers were trying to listen to what Bronies wanted for a finale and give us an epic, reassuring send off. The finale had a great concept. I see a lot of crap theories being spread because of finale spoilers and I hate that. I completely agree with you!

Sure, some parts of this finale can be disappointing... But that's the curse of the finale: Adventure Time, Star VS the forces of Evil,... even Avatar. None of them were perfect. When you have to put a conclusion to a long serie, it's impossible to make something than satisfy everybody.
Theses fanboys should be grateful than their fvourite show got a final, a lot of series never got this honour...

To give the adult My Little Pony fandom some damn humility and return it to its ACTUAL demographic.
This generation was too successful and too accessible for its own good. When that happens, you get entitled "adults" ripping the creators apart whenever something - ANYTHING - happens that they don't like. This generation was never going to have an ending the bronies would be satisfied with. Just like Naruto, Bleach, and Game of Thrones before it.
You can bet the Care Bears franchise doesn't have to deal with half the drama and BS from their fandoms that this one has dealt Hasbro and Lauren. The bronies need to let go and give this franchise back to the kids it was meant for and find something else to ruin.
TL;DR - If it tanks, adults can't ruin it for everyone else, and will finally move on.

But if they work on Gen 5 and Gen 5 fails miserably that good pedigree is hugely diminished for the show creators. Therefore your anger should be directed at the people who sent death threats, NOT the creators who obviously worked their a## off and/or generation 5. Do not wish for failure on creators.
Remember the lesson from "Fame and Misfortune". The journal was NEVER the problem, it was the ponies reactions after reading it. I see all fandoms doing this crap regardless of what show it is ("The Sopranos" "Breaking Bad" anime, "Lilo & Stitch The Series".)

Still makes zero sense to me that you would hope G5 would bomb because of THAT portion of the fandom was entitled and destructive to the show runners, what about the other half of the adult fandom that is actually content with FIM's ending, and wants to see G5 regardless of what demographic it appeals to? Do they deserve it too? I'm willing to give it a chance regardless.
Also, putting aside the fact that Naruto, Bleach, and Game of Thrones all had issues that don't apply to FIM, you can't please everyone no matter what, and that's a fact. I admit i haven't been all too pleased with the current direction Star Wars is going, for example. Do you see me givng death threats to the movie directors, despite being massively dissapointed? Look, the point I'm trying to make is that I would much rather there not be a fifth generation to begin with than have the BS of this one repeat itself. Even if one part is disappointed with such an outcome, I think the other part being robbed of the chance of ruining everything would be enough of a silver lining.

I must admit, I've seen a few nasty comments about the ending of the show and the final episode in particular...
...but tbqh, I feel this pales in comparison to the fan implosion that happened after the final episode of "How I Met Your Mother", which I was a fan of. They spent the whole 9 seasons building up to the story of how he met the titular Mother, and then killed her off almost with an aside comment before his kids basically told him to go and be with the secondary love interest who he'd split from several seasons earlier. Dafuq? The HIMYM fandom went freakin' ballistic.

My thoughts on the whole awful mess: the MLP series finale has been released in Dutch and was posted on youtube. I ADORE the finale! However apparently some people hated the finale and threatened Big Jim and DHX with Violence and death threats. This is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! I don’t care what the reasons are, you do NOT threaten others! Threatening people over a show is just pure INSANITY! This is NOT what Bronies are about. I wanted my followers to know that I always call out any fandom for inexcusable behavior whether it be the Lilo & Stitch fandom, the My Little Pony fandom or anything else. I saw disgusting behavior in the Stitch fandom after “Stitch! Anime” and “Stitch & Ai” was released and I’m so disappointed and ashamed that the same kind of people followed MLP. My message to the violent haters is: GET OVER IT! IT’S A GOD DAMN SHOW!!!! Go rant on your private online pages but DO NOT threaten or harm human beings. Anyone who threatened DHX was NEVER a real Brony! May the haters get their Karma. I stand with Big Jim and DHX! #ThankYouBigJim

I completely agree with you on this. I haven't seen the finale because I don't want to be spoiled and I agree with you on getting it over. We should be glad the series is getting an proper finale than dragging on and becoming stale and repetitive like The Simpsons. Not every finale to your favourite TV shows, movies, video games, books and everything else with a story in it is going to have the perfect finale you want so just get over it already. We should be glad with what we got and remember all the good parts of FiM than remembering just the finale. I'm going into the finale with an clear and fair mind and if it is does disappoint me then I'm not going to get angry and overboard with it. Besides, that's why fanfictions exist so if you don't like the finale than write your own finale instead and there are rumours of an MLP movie coming out in 2021 which could be connected to FiM and be the true finale but we have yet to see if these rumours are true. Like you, I stand with Big Jim, DHX, Hasbro and all the people who worked on both FiM and Equestria Girls because they have created both FiM and Equestria Girls which have entertained, inspired and brought enjoyment to the young and the young at heart.

I hope you like the finale when you do see it. Yes! People forget these shows are written by show writers, not the fandom. And get way too overly invested and triggered about characters and endings. Yes I heard the new movie is a sort of bridge between gen 4 and gen 5 so I'm really hoping the new movie is connected to MLPFIM! There's conflicting info on the movie. The fandom is as messy as the SU fandom and the Sonic fandom combined.
This is why I don't like big fandoms and tend to avoid them, due to the toxic nature. And the spoilers? If you don't like them, AVOID THEM FOR CELESTIA'S SAKE!!!!! IT'S NOT THAT HARD!!!!!

Yeah, unfortunately, large fandoms can actually destroy a series.
Homestuck is a good example--if we ignore the unexpected phoenix nature of the fandom. In 2011, Homestuck got massively popular. Within a year, the fandom grew so exponentially that you basically couldn't go on fandom sites with at least some mention of the webcomic. In 2012, the toxicity of the fandom reached new heights, causing the fandom to implode; people left in droves, buried their grey body paint, and completely disassociated. As far as I know Hussy, the creator, even reached a block due to the fandom--or at least, that's what's speculated to have caused the 2012 hiatus.
Homestuck is now tainted as "that fandom." The fandom that harasses creators, the fandom that screeches at others at conventions, the fandom that was little more than a toxic cesspool.
People really need to realize that creators don't owe them anything. That it isn't "their" series. I have shows where I'm disappointed in vital plot points. Heck, all of season 9 in MLP has been disappointing for me. But it's a show. It's not perfect. There's so much red tape and so many expectations and rules behind each series that it's impossible to create a perfect series. It's also impossible to please everyone, so, yes, you're not going to be catered to. Large fandoms help feed this injustice complex, because people find others who agree with them.
It's just so frustrating!!

Well critique is always good. Especially when the writing for finales get bad. Bronies -overall- just have a problem with taking this show too serious. I mean it's a bit dumb if grown up (mostly men) writing even death threats to producers involved producing a show for little girls, right?
I don't know the finale yet but I know from what I saw the last seasons, it will be 90 percent for me like-a good reason to stop
(meaning like Gravity Falls, for sure at least for me it will turn into a bad finale)
but yet still what does "leaked" mean? due to the comments here if it airs in other countries earlier and they spread it around it is NOT to be tolerated to fight against. Because the US is very good at it (LOL SU just to mention one thing), so it's awkward if now all american people rant about other countries leaking if they think it's okay in every show to leak if the US is first. I mean take all t he pony plushy makers (Which I see in a bad light) who just wait for one episode and within 3 hours they make a plushy and sell it for super high amount of money and spread it around which is basically also a spoiler, but that's also tolerated and even supported. So if one country aired and a bit time passes and it's spread around through the internet I blame people who use the internet.
There is a thing to not browse social media or bigger sites if you want to avoid getting spoilered and if people are too addicted to do so, then no creator in the world can be blamed for this.
