Description Here it is, sorry for the long wait. There's been a lot going on this month, mostly involving back-to-back birthday parties, some health issues, and family visiting from out-of-state. Hopefully things will settle down in August and I'll be able to focus a bit more, which will be good because I'm planning a two-page spread for my next upload on this... if it turns out looking anything like it does in my head at the moment, it'll be awesome.

And based on feedback from the community, after I've finished this scene, I'll be tackling Jaxom's impression of Ruth (which should be some nice, uplifting, lighthearted fun after this admittedly gut-wrenching sequence.)

Thanks everyone for all your kind comments and support!

Awww why would you draw such a sad part?

Really the drawings are great but poor Brekke...

I know, right? In hindsight, I should have started elsewhere... It's just that when I thought of the key scenes in DragonQuest, this was the first one that came to mind (probably because it broke my heart). To make it up to everyone, I'll be doing Jaxom's Impression of Ruth next.Β  Β

Haha it did stand out and your version looks great
(mine too)
Oh that'll be cool ^_^ it's a nice scene and Ruth is one of my favorite characters (or dragons characters anyway)

Oh Cool! Nice to see people still into the Pern series. We had Todd McCaffery as a special guest at last years RustyCon here in Seattle.

Yeah I'd drifted away from it for a long time, but it's nice to come back to it--the fans are awesome.
And I've lived in the Seattle area for 10 years and never heard of RustyCon, how did I miss this!? lol

Β It is the 2nd or 3rd week of January, depending. Its not huge but its a nice con to spend the day or even sell your work.

Well, learn something new every day! January would be a nice time to have an excuse to get out and socialize a bit. Gets pretty dreary.

Haha, yeah, I've been a little unfocused ever since I finished that last graphic novel. After 2 years of work it was like somebody took the straightjacket off and now I can't seem to settle down on just one thing at a time!

Yeah, I completely understand, my friend! It happens after long lasting or intense projects On the other hand, for me personally is very hard to keep focused on more than two larger projects - comics, architectural or else
Please, accept my bow to your skills!!
