This is a very, very nice piece. I like the sort of dark, entranced look about her eyes. The shading is done very nicely and the pose is well executed.

The shading in this picture is excellent. Not only is it smooth and soft (just the way I like it), but it looks like it's been applied really carefully, because it really helps make the character look 3-D. The shading makes the Death Ballerina look very impressive and striking, and gives the impression of bright, soft light shining behind her.
The anatomy is brilliantly drawn and brilliantly proportioned. Her expression is very well drawn, too - it clearly shows calm, determined confidence, and this impression is strengthened by the grace of her pose.
Some people might say that the rather thick, dark outlines make the character look "too cartoony", and that the character would look more serious and impressive if the outlines were drawn more faintly.
However, I like these outlines. They're distinctive, and they're actually nice to look at - quite pretty. They make the character look more striking and impressive, because of their darkness and the way they make her stand out. Also, the contrast between the main outlines and the skirt's outlines make the skirt look all the more interesting!
The skirt is very well drawn. The faint outlines, the skillful use of gentle shading and lighting, and the way it's been made translucent - these are nice, creative ways of giving the skirt the delicate look of a real ballerina's skirt.
One small criticism, I suppose, is that the ribbons on the Death Ballerina's legs don't really look like ribbons wrapped around her legs. They look more like marks which are painted on her legs.
Still, that doesn't stop this picture from looking great, and I suppose you could always say that the ribbons are so flat and so delicate, and they hug so tightly to the Death Ballerina's legs, that it LOOKS like they're just marks on her legs.
The background is absolutely excellent. It's bright and quite explosive, and I love the softness of the light - it gives a subtly impressive, and yet quite cosy, look. What's more, the colours of the background go very well with the colours of the Death Ballerina. There's a danger that backgrounds can make a picture look garish or jarring... but not here! You've made a background which is not only nice to look at, but which also exists harmoniously with the subject.
Also (just in case you're not sick to the stomach of reading my words), I really like the way you've signed this picture. It's nice to see someone's personal handwriting instead of a boring, soulless computer font, the handwriting's neat and attractive, and the colour of the words is not only pretty and warm, but it's nice and dim, so that the words don't stand out too much and distract attention away from the main picture.
